At Água d’Alma we have implemented additional measures to ensure the well-being and safety of our guests and staff. These are always our top priorities. We are monitoring the global situation on a daily basis and started taking active action very early. On February 28, 2020, we reinforced all of our, already rigorous, procedures and routines in order to protect our employees and our guests. On March 13, 2020 we published the Água d’Alma Hotel Contingency Plan, prepared in accordance with all guidelines of the World Health Organization and the General Directorate of Health.
During the period of the confinement state we were not stopped. We thought about what we could offer to make our guests' stays even better, we elaborated the Água d'Alma Hotel Internal Protocol and we implemented a set of measures in that direction.
Obtaining the Clean & Safe Seal - Turismo de Portugal and Safe travels - World Travel & Turism Council
We were one of the first hotel units in the country to be distinguished with the Clean & Safe seal. This was the recognition of our measures regarding cleaning and safety. We developed and implemented a rigorous Internal Protocol where we are committed to:
- Promote training to all our employees;
- Provide information to all our customers;
- Ensure the necessary social distance;
- Ensure the existence of personal protective equipment for all;
- Reinforce cleaning and disinfection measures.

Flexible Cancellation Policy:
Book with confidence. We have made our cancellation policy more flexible. All reservations can be canceled free of charge up to 72 hours before arrival. For prepaid reservations, we give you an equal amount of Água d’Alma Hotel voucher for you to enjoy until the end of 2021. We practice a policy of flexibility: - Book now and decide later.
Early check-in and Mobile Access:
For your comfort we have implemented an early check-in system. If you wish, when making a reservation at Água d’Alma you can make your early check-in. When your check-in date approaches, we will take care of everything so you don't have to wait at the reception. We will send a mobile key to your smartphone. After all, our hotel is your home! It makes perfect sense to always have the key with you.
With Mobile Access we offer you a new hotel experience. Upon arrival, you can go directly to your room using your own smartphone to open the door. There is no need for physical keys or cards. We have abolished waiting time at the reception. This experience is safe, convenient and saves time so you can enjoy your stay in peace.
Communication with guests in real time:
To meet your needs we have implemented a Digital Concierge service. It is now possible to communicate with us in real time using your preferred conversation platform.
Are you arriving at the hotel and need additional information? Are you on the beach and want us to prepare you a drink or a light meal to serve in your room upon arrival? Have you checked the pillow menu and want a specific type? Do you want to request a laundry service or simply have breakfast in your room? The options are limitless. Communicate with our Staff and your wishes will be attended to immediately.
Assisted Buffet Breakfast, or in the room:
The breakfast service is open from 07:30 to 11:30 in the Assisted Buffet mode. We reduced the capacity of our room and set the number of guests at the same time. You will thus be able to indicate the time you want to have breakfast, sit down and choose a wide selection of fresh products from our Hot and Cold Buffet. For your convenience our staff will take care of all the table service.
If you wish, the option of serving breakfast in your room is also available. Contact the reception and place your order.
Bar and Light Meals Service:
Água d’Alma has an excellent bar area with an outdoor terrace. You can choose if you want to enjoy your favorite drink with a view of the Óbidos Lagoon or in the comfort of your room.
The bar service is open from 17:00 to 00:00. If you do not wish to move, simply ask to be served your drink in your room. No additional fees will be charged for Room Service.
We also have a light meal service for you to have a snack or dinner in the comfort of your room.
